The Catalinbread Belle Epoch is a magical reincarnation of the famous EP-3 Echoplex. Catalinbread has painstakingly recreated not only the decay and behavior of a tape echo's repeats, but the same subtle nuances and "ghosts in the machine" that are inherent in a mechanical delay. Starting with a discrete preamp that is just as important to the EP-3 sound as the tape itself, the Belle Epoch adds that unexplainable attack and percussive nature that a vintage tape delay contributes even in a bypassed state (true bypass also available). A delay range of 80-800ms follows in the same footsteps and allows easy access to classic slapback or Brian May-esque harmonies at the longer settings. True random modulation can be mixed in to replicate a tape's wow and flutter while the Record Level allows you to drive the 'tape' signal harder so warm saturation in true EP-3 fashion.
