The MORE you watch this the better you will feel about your own flying ability and get comfortable with knowing that perfect flying doesn't exist in newbie land.

If you are a complete beginner to RC flying you are probably feeling a bit nervous and want your first few flights to be perfect right?

Newsflash! They wont be perfect, if anything, your flying will be all over the place.

Your ability and how you feel when flying will get better, but other factors like your flying club, the flying field and your instructor, your model and of course how much time you can spend practising will all play a huge part in your development.

The more you watch others on that same level, the easier it is to feel more at ease with imperfection and comfortable that things will be a bit all over the place whilst learning.

So, after a few weeks of strengthening, taping, gluing and adding LED lights to the Multiplex Mentor, today was the first day back in the air.

Despite the high winds of 10mph+ Gusting around 14mph, I decided I needed the practice, and flying in the UK really will need skills to handle the wind.

So, I take to the field one Saturday afternoon and manage to squeeze in 20 minutes on the buddy box, (Thanks Steve) managed a take-off, and after many attempts, a few rough landings that were borderline "touch-n-go without the go"

At this stage of my flying, my assisted landings are more like bouncing bombs, but its slowly improving as I start to learn how to control the planes power better and make use of it to keep the plane from stalling and just bouncing down the runway like it does now...

So, the message from today's video is, keep at it, you will improve but it may well be a roller coaster getting there.
