Dr. Marty Griffin is an American environmentalist and conservationist in Northern California and author of the book Saving the Marin–Sonoma Coast. Griffin has been widely honored for his decades of environmental work in helping to preserve numerous sensitive wildlife habitats in Sonoma and Marin County.

Dr. Griffin has been involved in the decades long battle to restore Point Reyes National Seashore to its intended purpose as a National Park Unit, which is to protect wildlife and natural resources for future generations. Griffin is one of the few people who have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Seashore's politics that lead to its creation in 1962 and the subsequent efforts to restore the land to the wildness that was intended.
