This is an ancient Ox Driven Oil extractor in Ajmer City . I have heard lot about this rare amazing Traditional ox-drawn oil grinder and seen in books as Kolhu ka bail ( कोल्हू का बैल ) I found it on the road and amazed by this scene. The ox was working hard and the shopkeeper was putting sesame seeds in the wooden cylindrical container . The seeds were getting crushed by the heavy wooden block and the oil was coming out of them. the price was 280 rupees per kg. It is pure oil without adulteration. also called kachchi ghani ka tel ( कच्ची घाणी का तेल ) . You can witness a set up of an Oil production by Compression machine powered by an Ox. This method is used since long time ago at the place where electricity is not available. he told me the benefits of seasame oil .Sesame seeds are extremely beneficial for health but are often overlooked.
