These are 2 very much inperfect methods that I have found to download online videos partially and to extract clips from videos to save some disc space and bandwith.

Clipconverter.cc is free and will allow you to extract parts of a video and save you HDD space and bandwith, but it will desync your audio a lot of the time, making resynching in video editing necessary.

Some Video Converters have options to quick edit videos, allowing you to select tha part of the video you want to download and delete the rest of the video. However, you will still have to download the whole thing.
If there are free converters with that option, let me know.

Let me know if you find a quicker and better method and I will make a video. This is the best I can find in 2016/2017.
