Restaurant Review - The Original Pancake House | Atlanta Eats

The Original Pancake House has been serving up “pancakes as you like them!” since 1953. Everything is made from scratch and to order, using locally sourced ingredients to ensure that the freshest food ends up on your plate. Although pancakes are their specialty (there are over 17 different pancake varieties and 12 different batters!), The Original Pancake House has also perfected other essential breakfast dishes like French toast, omelettes, waffles, bacon, and – of course – coffee.

The Original Pancake House does, indeed, have original pancake recipes. Buttermilk, banana, pecan, blueberry, coconut, and pigs and a blanket are just some of the original pancakes on the menu. Featured on the menu are two pancake variations made with homemade German batter and oven-baked. If you’re feeling exceptionally hungry, dare to take on the massive Apple Pancake, baked with fresh granny smith apples and a cinnamon glaze. Also large in both size and flavor is the Dutch Baby Pancake, baked and topped whipped butter, lemon, and powdered sugar. Top it off with a big syrup pour (made in house – of course) and you’ve got yourself an Original Pancake House pancake!
