In this video we overview the process of renewing your NYC For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) License (aka TLC Plate Renewal). Every two years, NYC FHV owners have to pay the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) a renewal fee (currently $625) to keep their TLC Plates active. Usually, you should start the process about 4 to 6 weeks before your current FHV License expires*. Once you pay the renewal, the TLC will give you an inspection date at their Woodside Queens Facility** within 2 to 4 weeks.
