On Monday September 30, 2019 at approximately 5:18 p.m., Amador County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 16410 Meadow Vista Drive (Dollar General) regarding the report of a battery. Upon arrival deputies contacted a male subject who informed them he had been punched in the face by a white male in his mid-twenties.

The 73 year old male informed deputies that while driving eastbound on Highway 88 he became involved in a dispute with the driver of a mid to early 2000’s Honda sedan. At this time it is not known how this altercation started. Both vehicles pulled into the parking lot at the above address and the 73 year old male approached the Honda sedan and banged on the driver’s side window with closed fists. The driver of the Honda exited the vehicle and punched the 73 year old male twice in the face. The 73 year old male had apparent injuries to his face, but declined medical attention at the scene. The driver of the Honda left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. Deputies checked the area for the vehicle, but did not locate it or the driver.

The incident is currently under active investigation. The person wanted for questioning is a white male adult in his mid-twenties driving a tan or brown, mid to early 2000’s Honda sedan.
