First off: Audix mics are UNREAL. If you've watched my videos for a while, you'll know that I recently switched to Audix from another company whose mics I used for many years, and as you can hear, the sound difference is absolutely crystal clear. The biggest difference I experienced with the new mics was how QUICKLY I got a decent mix, how I didn't have to fight the mics or squeeze any tone out of them. With my previous mics my EQ settings were especially aggressive in terms of boosting certain frequencies, with the new mics the opposite is true. I won't keep going, but oh my goodness these mics made such an insane difference. REALLY stoked to be working with Audix.

As always: this mix is especially punchy and bright, mostly because I'm contending with existing programmed drum tracks in the original. I absolutely love the slightly beefier and rounder snare tone (still really clear, though) and how natural the cymbals sound. Gotta love decent mics. Let me know what you guys think!
