How to Add Friends in Fortnite - PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch & PC

In this video I'll be showing you how to add friends in Fortnite. You can add someone on Fortnite by opening the side menu and going to the add friends options. Here you will see friend invites which allow you to accept or reject friend requests. You can also see recent players here which makes it easy to add someone that you've just played with.

If you want to add a friend on Fortnite using their username then you can select the search box at the top. Here you will need to enter their username and search. Once done you can select the user and click the Add Friend button. This will send them a friend invite which they will need to accept.

The in-game method can be used by players on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch & PC to add friends. This makes it one of the easiest options to add someone on Fortnite.

Another option is to add someone through the Epic Games Launcher. Here you can click the people icon in the top corner, right next to your profile. This is where you can see your current friends and add new friends. Once on the Add Friends tab you'll see a search box, use it to search for the friend you want to add in Fortnite. Select the correct person then click the Add Epic Friend button and you will send the user a friend request.
