Kosrae Island

Kosrae is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia, located in the Pacific Ocean. It's known for its pristine natural beauty, including lush rainforests and coral reefs. The island has a population of around 6,600 people and covers an area of about 42 square miles. Kosrae's economy relies primarily on subsistence farming, fishing, and some tourism. Its traditional culture is closely tied to the land and sea, with fishing and farming playing significant roles in daily life. The island is also home to ancient stone structures known as Lelu Ruins, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
