In my short address to February's Fine Gael Ard Fheis I made the jobs case for why Government needs to take startups seriously, not only in policy terms but by bringing about lasting change on the ground by implementing key recommendations from January's Entrepreneurship Forum report.

In my speech on Wednesday 28th of June at Dublin's first Google #atmosphere2014 conference I outlined the innovation case for why the multinational tech corporates located in our country need to take startups seriously. Their corporate accelerator programmes can help make Dublin the best tech startup location in the world. This is not an altruistic ask, it is to the benefit of both the startup and the corporate. Corporate accelerator programmes have higher success rates and startups are the leading creators of innovation in developed economies.
