Ahh the River, first I need a picture of Poliwag to get the pester ball, so I wait for him to jump, better chance of Oak saying he's actually in the picture, as you can see out of 6 pictures the one I took when it was jumping was the one it was in.

Next I come back and setup a Bulbasaur picture, this both gets me a really nice score, and puts me to the left so I'm closer to Slowpoke. I set up Slowpoke to evolve and take 5 pictures of Shellder. I'm superstitious with Shellder, I want 5 pictures and the off center shots to outweigh centered ones because I think it makes it more likely for a Cloyster to appear. It also aligns the pictures at the end much better. After the Shellders I take a Slowbro, and then Slowpoke, they are both nice and big since I drifted left for Bulbasaur. Setting up Metapod isn't too difficult, just remember to throw another pester ball so you don't get stopped by it. Psyduck is pretty easy, even if it's not worth a lot of points this way. Porygon I messed up on, but doesn't really cost time, and Cloyster showed up on the last spawn point in the level. I accepted this because it is more of a "worst-case" scenario then the best possible, as long as Cloyster appears I'd keep the run. Both Jinx and Charizard (Alternates for Cloyster) take almost a minute each before you can get a picture of them (Even if on VC you can see Jinx earlier, Oak wont accept the picture until you are in "range" to take the picture) and I need to go near them with the dash engine anyway later, so I have to rely on luck and Cloyster spawning where I can take it.

Pointwise only Cloyster was below average, and nothing was above average here; normally I get a good Cloyster in the first or second spawn points, but since I just wanted the quick picture and triggering the next level event I got a picture with its "back" to me so Oak didn't appreciate that. From this point on though, points don't mean much unless I really get bad luck for both the Cave and Valley, I need 40k points for the PokeFlute and I wont need that until the Tunnel's third run.
