A shootout between 4 large diaphragm condenser microphones on a Gibson J45 acoustic guitar.

All microphones used a cardioid polar pattern and were positioned 6 inches away from the guitar's 12th fret on axis. The tracks were then recorded to Pro Tools unprocessed through an SSL 4000G console and Avid HD interface using the same channel and level parameters for each microphone. All tracks were normalised during mixdown for a consistent volume level and fair comparison.
