Dr Akwe Samuel Nkondalle, a medical officer in charge of the Presbyterian general hospital in Kumba sheds light on some of the victims of yesterday's school attack received in the facility.
Minor cases he says were treated, administered medication, and sent home. Some will be expected in the days ahead for a checkup.
Other more serious cases he said, were however retained and treated as inpatients. One of them, a girl shot in the back with her intestines affected was immediately rushed to the theatre. The family would however pull her out of the hospital, citing religious reasons for her not to have blood transfusion necessary for an operation.
The facility he says is doing its best thanks to supporting from Doctors Without Borders.
