Rupes Bigfoot Mark III Polisher Review [LHR21 III Random Orbital]

We review the Rupes Bigfoot Mark III random orbital polisher that's been out now for about a year. Specifically, this is the LHR 21 long-throw version. You can also get the Rupes Bigfoot Mark III polisher in the LHR15 as well. The LHR21 is a 21mm orbit, while the LHR15 is a 15mm orbit. 21mm equates to about 13/16".
We took this over to our Pro detailers at Michael's Auto Detailing and let them put it to the test. Father and son duo, Michael and Chase, have been detailing cars for decades. They've put the Rupes through the paces for a couple months now. There have been no issues and the Bigfoot Mark III is still running strong, even with the same backing plate.
If there is a drawback to the Rupes Bigfoot Mark III, it has to be the cost. For only the polisher, expect to spend about $465, and if you get the Deluxe Kit, you're looking at closer to $600. A worthy investment for the seasoned Pro, but it might be a stretch for value-conscious newcomers and DIYers.
