GOUACHE sketchbook painting session | Wintery scene/color practice from reference and chatting

Описание к видео GOUACHE sketchbook painting session | Wintery scene/color practice from reference and chatting

I wanted to practice painting with some grayer and gloomier color palettes than what I usually like to do for my comic (or art/illustrations in general), and the weather has been suitably gray so I've got ample opportunity to get good reference images! Sooo ... join me for this little speedpaint/ painting timelapse in my sketchbook! Working in gouache this time. And listen to me tell you about how I dropped my laptop corner first on my foot once again.

Characters in the painting are from my webcomic "Stand Still Stay silent", you can read it over at sssscomic.com! (I draw 4 new comic pages a week.)

Materials used in the speed paint: Royal Talens gouache, red led for the sketch underneath, the paper in the sketch book is smooth watercolor paper.

WHAT I USE TO DRAW:
For my digital art I use Clip Studio Paint for sketching, linearts and most of my coloring process, often I do some part of the coloring/painting part in Photoshop (it has some cooler brushes available that I enjoy)

I use a wacom cintic 12WX tablet for all my digital drawing needs, hooked up to a desktop computer, occasionally to my laptop. (Yes, it's a SUPER old and small screen tablet! But it still works for me after over 1000 comic pages drawn with it. )
