"You know there are many many features in these cars, but, you know, the new 7 series has really taken a step, and I think a leading step in terms of autonomous driving. You know, these cars are capable of up to 210 kilometres (130 miles) an hour steering assistance of actually allowing you to take your hands off the wheel and your eyes off the road for a brief moment and I think that's the important thing, you do have to be still in control of these cars but it's a big step in that direction. You've also got self parking, so you can get out of the car, stand alongside it, use your key and the car will move itself into the garage. So if it's a tight space - no squeeze anymore. These type of things are all coming because they are very connected, they are using technology of laser scanners and radars and actually enabling, I think, the next step in this autonomous world. In addition to that, of course, you have the latest generation of engines and engines which are moving very very fast now in terms of their development to achieve some of the technical standards in terms of CO2 around the world but taking nothing away from our customers in terms of what their enjoyment and their sheer driving pleasure from the ultimate driving machine. And the hybrid behind me, 2.1 litres per hundred and 325 horsepower and at the same time 49 grammes of CO2 , so I think that shows you the technical capabilities of 7 series range."

"And all of a sudden you can get a big car like the 7 series, but achieve really high fuel economy. It's the best of both ways and worlds in many ways, and I think you'll see more and more manufacturers introducing plug in technology for that reason."
