Although, she was pretending to play a drama in front of Rey, Chelsea hasn't been herself lately. she's trying to be adamant that she's not crazy and is just pretending to have a mental breakdown. However, Chelsea's behavior is certainly on the verge of madness.

Chelsea's paranoia levels are high and she has that disturbing vision of Adam. As far as Dr Hedges was part of a scheme orchestrated by Victor Newman, so Chelsea had no reason to include him. She honestly became frightened by Adam and felt unsafe. Chole fears that if this situation persists, it could make Chelsea worse.
