In 1982, Hasbro introduced this new 1/18 scale, reimagining G.I. Joe as an elite military unit dedicated to defending freedom against the evil Cobra organization. Each figure was individually packaged on cards similar to those used in Kenner’s Star Wars line. Figures came with various accessories such as helmets, backpacks, and weapons. The initial assortment included nine G.I. Joe figures and two Cobra figures.

Today, the G.I. Joe Classified Series features 6-inch (1/12th) scale figures. These figures update the classic 3 3/4-inch toys into a highly articulated 6-inch scale boasting deco and detailing. The line includes major A Real American Hero (ARAH) characters in either standard or redesigned appearances and includes vehicles and playsets. Figures in this series have multiple points of articulation for dynamic posing.

In summary, the original 1982 G.I. Joe figures laid the foundation for the franchise, while the G.I. Joe Classified Series brings these beloved characters to life in a modern, highly detailed format. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a new collector, both series offer unique and exciting experiences!

NOTE: Hey fellow toy-a-phile (plastic-a-phile?), I started this channel so I’d have some company while opening up my figures and taking them for a spin. As you’ve guessed, many of these figures didn’t come out recently.

On occasion, I might open something new and post the video right away or post something special because a movie opened or it’s a holiday. But mostly, I’m just excited to have an outlet for my fandom. I really appreciate the watch and though my voice is excruciating and it’s clear I have no idea what I’m doing but I'm glad you're here.

And, as always, ENJOY YOUR TOYS.
