Are you planning to travel Switzerland and are curious about what is the best travel experiences in Switzerland and what to do in the Swiss Alps? My travel diary on what to do in Switzerland in Summer will provide some inspiration. This small mountain village of Mürren is truly one of the best places to visit in Switzerland. In this video I will talk a bit about my first impressions and provide some background and hopefully useful tips for your Switzerland travel to Mürren.

Mürren has excellent tourist infrastructure with lots of beautiful Swiss chalets and several hotels. You will also find a grocery store, several cafes and restaurants and even tennis courts and a swimming pool in this small village. In the winter, the surrounding mountains invite you to go down the ski slopes around Mürren. In the summer, these slopes turn to beautiful lush green meadows where cows graze throughout the day. The ringing of the cow bells accompanied me during my hikes around Mürren. Also check out my video on my walk from Mürren to Gimmelwald.

You can only get to Mürren by train and cable car. It is a motsly car-free village and travelers cannot go there by car. If you come via train, take the Bernese Oberland railways from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen. from there, take the cable car to Gruetschalp and another train to Mürren. Alternatively you can also take a bus to Stechelberg and take a cable car to Mürren. Once you are in Mürren, everything is in walking distance.
