Slark is a decent carry at the moment due to his ability to set up solo kills and ganks. He can create pressure on the map easily without hard committing, can evade ganks, and can also farm jungle stacks extremely rapidly due to Dark Pact and his ultimate which gives him regen and movement speed.

Your most important item is your teamfight/mobility item like Shadow Blade and Blink Dagger, which allow you to initiate and guarantee a pounce leash. With either of those items, you should be able to snowball a bit by picking off support heroes repeatedly.

In the mid game your items should be an HP item like Skadi or BkB, and then afterwards a gank/teamfight item like Basher/Abyssal, MkB, or a BkB if you haven't gotten it yet.
