How to Clean 40HP 2 Stroke Yamaha Outboard Carburetors No Ultrasonic Cleaner!

Описание к видео How to Clean 40HP 2 Stroke Yamaha Outboard Carburetors No Ultrasonic Cleaner!

In this video I cover how to inspect and clean a 2 Stroke 40HP Yamaha Outboard Carburetor without using an ultrasonic cleaner. Basically, I do a a disassembly and inspection and do a thorough cleaning of all the ports in the carburetor. Of special interest are the idle (low speed) and main jets. Yamaha carburetors are a bit different the your Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury carbs. They have a somewhat higher level of complexity, especially when it comes to the jets and the idle circuit. Even so, they can be cleaned without an ultrasonic cleaner. You can also use this video as a guide if you are going to rebuild your Yamaha Carburetors.

A Quick disclaimer, I am not an outboard technician. I do however do my homework and consult with experts when necessary before doing much of the work I do on outboards. Last of all, I get a service manual on the outboards I work on and a thoroughly familiarize myself on the area I am going to work on.
