Tips For Diagnosing Bad Electrical Connector

In this video I give tips to help in diagnosing bad electrical connectors. I explain the importance of a good visual inspection. I demonstrate an example of performing a "wiggle test" to an electrical connector. I also explain that disconnecting an electrical connector and visually inspecting the insides is important as well. I even take it step further by dissecting an electrical connector while explaining some issues that you may come across and what to look out for.

Note: Many issues that may be found with the female side of a connection may also be present on the male side. Other than the pin fitment test the male side is inspected in a similar fashion. If the male side of a connection is a component then it usually cannot be dissected as a connector can.
