Approximately 467 million years ago, if you would have looked up in the daytime, you would have seen a prominent ring system. This ring system was created due to a very large asteroid disentegrating due to Earth's gravity after getting captured by our planet. While still being debated, this new theory would better explain several aspects of the Ordovician world better than our prior models do.
