What is the rotation curve problem?
Vera Rubin measured how fast stars orbit in galaxies. She found they move at constant speeds even at the galaxy's edge. According to visible matter alone, edge stars should move much slower. This revealed dark matter.

How much dark matter exists?
Dark matter makes up 85% of all matter in the universe. Every galaxy sits inside a massive dark matter halo extending far beyond visible stars.

Can we see dark matter?
No. It doesn't emit, absorb, or reflect light. We only detect it through gravitational effects on visible matter.
