One should never turn down a beggar by saying "come tomorrow". If you want to give, give it today, right now or else refuse saying that I will not give! There is a big reason for this! There was an incident in Mahabharata! Once a beggar reached the door of Dharmaraj Yudhishthir to beg! Yudhishthir was busy in work so he said "come tomorrow"! Now as soon as Bhima heard Yudhishthir's voice of "come tomorrow", he ran towards the village with a drum, Yudhishthir ran after him wondering what happened to him! Bhima said my brother has conquered time, he has assured the beggar to come tomorrow! Meaning that Yudhishthir has come to know that tomorrow he will be 100 percent alive! My brother has conquered death! This is what I am telling people by beating the drum! Yudhishthir realized this and apologized to the beggar and said what is the guarantee of tomorrow, you take the alms today itself! So give the alms you promised today or else if your tomorrow doesn't come! Then it won't leave you till your next birth!
