Erfurter Maschinen-und Werkzeugfabrik GmbH (ERMA Werke) was a Deutsch small arms producer founded during the interwar period. They were a producer of Kar 98ks and MP40s for the war effort, they are also known for producing .22 calibre rifle conversion kits before the war. EL24 was a .22 LR conversion kit for the Kar98, it replaced the bolt of the rifle and featured a barrel insert to reduce the bore diameter.

The rifle was produced by Mauser A.G in Oberndorf, Deutschland.
