What's it like to see "NOTHING" when you're blind?

I have previously described the “nothing” that I see as a black space because it kind of seemed like the easiest way to relate it to people who are trying to understand it. However, it’s not quite correct. The nothing isn’t really black. It’s….nothing. This video will give you a representation of what that means.
If you want an even deeper dive into this topic, you might recall that I still have light sensitivity. So yes, I can see bright “nothing” or dark “nothing”…..which may make you think that I an see SOMETHING. But I can’t. the “things” I’m looking at are simply not there….but I am perceiving light and dark around the edges of the nothing. Make sense? Probably not entirely but hopefully it gets you a little closer to understanding.
