The immortal lion of odisha Veer surendra sai born on 23rdJanuary 1809 in Khinda village of Sambalpur district.He fought 20 years with Britishers along with the first war of independence 1857.He spent 37years in Asirgarh Jail, which no one else in the world has ever spent as a political prisoner and died on 28th February1884.
