*NEW* Dewulf GK 3 carrot harvester | Valtra & Fendt | Landbouwbedrijf Jan Bakker

Dewulf launched their innovative and all new carrot harvester earlier this year. It is the first time that a 3 row harvester has been produced that folds down to less than 3m transport width. For this the elevator can swing 180 degrees and the left wheel hydraulically slides in.

Early November Dewulf and local dealer Bart Agro Mechanisatie held a demonstration at Landbouwbedrijf Jan Bakker in Dronten, Flevoland. Various Fendt 724 tractors and Keulmac box trailers carted the crop to the farm. In front of the harvester is a Valtra N154 from contractor Dax Buth.

These carrots are grown on 75cm wide ridges, but the machine can handle all sorts of row widths and is specially designed for lifting carrots that are loaded in to wooden boxes for long term storage. Product quality is therefor very important. The first and third element of the machine can sideshift to compensate for any differences in the spacing, despite GPS being used for ridging and drilling.
