Music for Antoni Tàpies - (Cheryl Pyle, Max Ridgway, Urbuli Baba)

Finally a new recording with Cheryl & Max! This is a tribute to a painter I've long been fond of : (from Max's channel) "Antoni Tàpies was a Catalan painter, sculptor and art theorist. In 1948, Tàpies helped co-found the first post-war movement in Spain known as Dau al Set which was connected to the Surrealist and Dadaist Movements. Tàpies originally thought of himself as a surrealist painter and his early works were influenced by Paul Klee and Joan Miró. But he eventually began to work in a more original style known as pintura matèrica, in which non-artistic materials such as clay, marble dust, waste paper, string, and rags, are incorporated into the paintings."
