Deception Lake is easily accessed from the onion lake trail area on the highway between Kitimat and Terrace. There is a maze of old backroads through the forest as you head back towards Kitimat. It is best to use some type of offroad vehicle, such as atv, dirtbike or UTV, as the trails are quite overgrown. Apparently people used to fish here back in the day, I've been here a few times and have never even seen a fish jump.
