During this DADx Talk, we focused on the importance of upstream support and engaging new dads as they enter fatherhood. And learnt how this proactive approach can create real, positive change for fathers, families, and their children.

We highlighted this through the shared journey of DadPad and the NHS Highland Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team, whose shared commitment to fatherhood support has bridged the gap from Cornwall to the Highlands.

Born in Cornwall and developed alongside the NHS, DadPad offers new dads an essential guide, helping them understand their roles, gain confidence and give their babies the best start in life across England—and now, thanks to NHS Highland, in Scotland too!

Fatherhood is often overlooked in services. However, through our collaboration with NHS Highland and DadPad, we've helped catalyse a shift toward more father-inclusive care in Scotland. After providing training, ongoing support, and advocating for the best resources, we’re excited to showcase the transformative impact this approach can have on families.
