李績出身高平北祖上房徐氏，他早年投身瓦崗軍，後隨李密降唐。一生曆事唐高祖、唐太宗、唐高宗三朝，深得朝廷信任和重任。他隨唐太宗李世民平定四方，兩擊薛延陀，平定磧北。後又大破東突厥、高麗，成為唐朝開疆拓土的主要戰將之一。他出將入相，功勳卓著，被朝廷倚為幹城，為淩煙閣二十四功臣之一。歷任兵部尚書、同中書門下三品、司空、太子太師等職，累封英國公。

總章二年（669年），李績去世，享年七十六歲。册贈太尉、揚州大都督，諡號“貞武”，陪葬昭陵。後配享高宗廟庭。

Li Ji was born in the Xu family of the northern ancestor of Gaoping. In his early years, he joined the Wagang army and later followed Li Mi to the Tang Dynasty. He lived in the three dynasties of Tang Gaozu, Tang Taizong and Tang Gaozong, and won the trust and important task of the imperial court. He followed Emperor Taizong Li Shimin to calm the four sides, hit Xue yantuo twice and calm the north of Qi. Later, he broke East Turks and Korea, and became one of the main generals in the Tang Dynasty. He became a general and became a prime minister with outstanding merit. He was relied on as a dry city by the imperial court and one of the 24 meritorious heroes of Lingyan Pavilion. He has successively served as the Minister of the Ministry of war, the third grade under the Tongzhong school, Sikong, the prince and the grand master, and has been awarded the British Duke.

In 669, Li Ji died at the age of 76. The book was presented to the Taiwei and the governor of Yangzhou with the posthumous title of "Zhenwu" and buried with Zhaoling. Then enjoy the Gaozong temple.
