Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed they shot down another American-made MQ-9 Reaper drone over the country on September 30. Houthis also released footage of what they claim to be an American MQ-9 Reaper drone that they shot down over the province of Saada in Yemen. If confirmed, the latest downing of an MQ-9 reaper drone would mark the third of its kind to be downed within a week, as per media reports. The alleged downing of the drone came just a day after Israel bombed Yemen’s Hodeidah port facilities “in coordination with the US”. According to the Houthis, the Israeli air force “launched 17 airstrikes on several civilian facilities in Hodeidah province”, killing five people.
