Because I Could not Stop for Death / Emily Dickinson / in Tamil /Bharath Ravindran. Bharath Academy. The poetess is busy in her round the clock activities. so she cannot stop for death. But death has stopped kindly for her. Death and immortality have come in a chariot. In returns to Death's kindness, the poetess puts her work aside and goes along with them. The carriage is passing through a school where children are playing an then through the fields gazing grain. the sun has set. The chill and small dew drops begin to fall The poetess becomes aware of her flimsy dress. The carriage has stopped before a house. It seems a grave, swelling above the ground. Since her arrival in the house of death, she is not conscious of the passage of time. Centuries might have passed. The journey is from life to death and finally to eternity.
