Tom yum or tom yam is a kind of hot and sour soup in Thailand, normally cooked with shrimp (prawn).
Tom yum has originated in Thailand. The word tom" means "boiling process" while yam means "mixed"

INGREDIENTS:
700 grms - 1 kg shrimp
4 stalks lemongrass (bruished and cut at least 1 inch)
2 pcs galangal (about 2 inches width)
1 pc ginger (about 1 inche width)
5-10 pcs kaffir lime leaves
3 pcs Thai chili peppers
2 tsp nam prik pao (Thai chili paste) or
other variant of chili paste (according to taste)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp fish sauce (according to taste)
1 tsp white sugar
1 pc big tomato, cut into 6-8 slices.
1 pc lime
250 grms tofu
250 grms mushroom
4-6 cups of water
4 pcs crab stick (Optional)
