What is COLLEGE HOMECOMING Like?

Today we are bringing you along with us for a week of #COLLEGE #HOMECOMING traditions! Since this is our Freshman year in college, we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but it was SO MUCH FUN!

Did you know that the whole #HOMECOMING concept was born at Baylor, our university? IT WAS, back in 1909, and has become a Fall tradition for universities and high schools ever since.

Baylor's Homecoming vibe is somewhat similar to how it was for us in high school, ONLY MUCH BIGGER! Similar because there is A LOT of school spirit and there are so many traditions, but with more fun traditional activities and a MUCH BIGGER STUDENT BODY! The overall campus has a phenomenal feeling of school pride, which is super fun to experience. The whole week just oozed green and gold, it’s so cool to be surrounded by teens who are so proud to be Baylor Bears! ❤️

Asa (you guys know Asa, right??) came into town to visit me over his long weekend, and it was SO GREAT to see him! We went to the campus bonfire together, which was so much fun, and Brooklyn met up with us! We also went to "Pigskin", which is where campus sororities and fraternities perform different acts (singing, dancing, etc.) in hopes of becoming finalists! The winners advance to perform at a later date, among the best of the best ,which we are excited to see!

The next morning, we woke up SUPER EARLY to get a spot for the homecoming PARADE! We were soooo tired from being up so late the night before, but it was super fun and totally worth it.

Brooklyn “ran the Baylor Line” for the homecoming football game, which is a tradition where freshmen at Baylor can sprint on to the football field before the game as team runs out! She dropped her phone in the process... you guys, it’s INTENSE (do you guys want a full video on this tradition??)

Our parents came for game, and its always good at Homecoming if your team wins! Baylor WON! It was seriously such a fun week, we are absolutely LOVING it here at Baylor! Sic’ Em Bears! 🐻
