Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy/ recovery/ cancer warrior 💚

Hi,

I wasn't sure about this oopherectomy surgery being possible but after basically my ovaries showed no response to chemo and left one growing rapidly (both about 10cm), my oncologist agreed to the surgery.

I was told of some possible complications during surgery and I was worried so you just hope for the best and plan for the worst. I was scared. I prayed and prayed for strength to get out of the ICU to see my little boy. 3 blood transfusions and other scares later I'm so thankful to be out of the hospital and home spending time with my family ❤️

These times are really emotional for me I'm doing what I can to keep my spirits up. I watched Rocky lol and I also think of my grandma as inspiration. I'm doing my best every day to get better physically I know I will it's just going to take some time.
I'm so glad and sad at the same time that they are gone but mostly glad 😊 Just a bump in the road 😉
I have questions still, waiting to talk to the oncologist next week. One silly question, but was the ICU really necessary? Hormones?

I still have many other sites as the Gallbladder cancer has spread but they seem to be responding and or showing stability.

Gallbladder and bile duct cancer is a beast but it's messed with the wrong momma 🐻💚 I'm still fighting!
