The rat animal-assisted therapy (AAT) television episode was presented in May 2016 on the French television network TV5. The program presents the rat as an animal-assisted therapy pet partner for at-risk teens within the alternative high school programs of the English Montreal School Board (EMSB). The show was filmed during one of Montreal's most epic heatwaves: it was 38°C in the shade, regardless, Alice was wonderful.

The rat, as a pet partner, facilitates the therapeutic process between the adult and the adolescent because of the marginalized feeling shared from teens and rats. Teens will often ask why would anyone love a rat? This is a projection to which we answer why not? The journey between humans and animals begins at that particular moment. Attachments form and perceptions and behaviours change as the animal becomes bonded with the human, and vice versa.
