Atheism is a Religion of Non-Belief or Simply a Lack of Belief in a God?

Today’s rant is on the idiotic idea that atheism is a form of religion. In fact, it is the very opposite. You can even be in religion while not believing in a God or gods, that still makes you an atheist.

It is ironic that some theists try to pretend this undermines atheism. Theism is not a religion, nor is atheism.

We also have to go in to the argument of what Atheism is. It is simply a lack of belief in any gods. To go against the dictionary’s definition and pretend atheist have to believe there is no God (as opposed to a lack of belief), is both an unimportant point and obviously incorrect.
