This is inside airport footage of Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) also called Puetro Plata Airport, located on the Caribbean island, The Dominican Republic. This inside the airport passenger departure area is filmed from the passenger drop off point to the departure gate and finally ends with us boarding our Thomson Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight back to Copenhagen, Denmark.
We hope that this video will be useful for all travelers flying in or out of Puetro Plata Airport on their charter holidays from the USA, Canada or Europe. I can understand that this airport Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) is mainly used by large long haul European Aircraft bringing European charter tourists on holiday to the Caribbean.

The video starts at the drop off point at the airport. This is the area where tourists arrive with there buses at the international departure area for their flights. They are first met by a number of porters who want to help with their luggage (they actually insist) wearing white T-shirts. I am not sure whether they are employed by Puetro Plata Airport or not. We then proceed to the very busy Check-in counters to check-in for our Thomson Dreamliner flight back to Copenhagen. The Check-in ground staff are very effective and the check-in process is quick. We then make our way to the other end of the arrivals terminal where we have to fill in some papers for the customs authorities (basic information about you and where you have stayed and for how long). There are a few locals hanging around here who try to help you (without being asked) and then expect a tip for it (I do not believe that they are employed by the airport). Once we have filled in the customs forms we make our way into the departure area (it is here we hand over the customs papers). We then pass through security control (be aware that at Puetro Plata Airport security control all passengers in addition to belts ets. must also remove their shoes. Once we have passed security control we then make our way up into the main departure terminal where Departure Gates 2-10 are located. All gates are on the same floor. The departure terminal offers passengers the same standard services (on a smaller scale) as other international airports. Services include clean restrooms, money exchange services, Duty Free shopping (tax free shopping) restaurants, kiosks, fast food restaurants and vending machines. Information about gates and flight departures are easily available on the screens located all around the terminal. We walk all the way around the terminal and give you a view of the gates, duty free shops, VIP lounge, restaurants, fast food restaurants, kiosks and vending machines before returning to our gate where you get a view of our Thomson Airways Dreamliner (Boeing 787-8) arriving at Gate 5 ready to fly us home. The video ends with us boarding the fantastic Thomson Dreamliner Aircraft.
