Story Overview:
Once upon a time, in a dense jungle, there was a powerful lion. With his sharp claws and strong teeth, he considered himself the mightiest of all animals. However, he was troubled by one thing - why did all the animals praise the peacock and not him?

The lion felt jealous because everyone admired the peacock’s beauty when it danced with its feathers spread wide. This made the lion sad and he wondered why, despite being so powerful, no one praised him. What was the point of his life then?

One day, as the lion was brooding over these thoughts, he saw an elephant passing by. The elephant looked very sad too. Curious, the lion asked, “You have such a big and powerful body. Why are you so sad? What’s troubling you?”

Seeing the sorrowful elephant, the lion thought of sharing his feelings. He asked the elephant, “Is there any creature in this jungle that makes you feel jealous or harms you?”

The elephant replied, “Even the smallest creature in the jungle can trouble a big animal like me.”

Surprised, the lion asked, “Which small creature is that?”

The elephant said, “Oh King, it’s the ant. It’s the tiniest creature in the jungle, but whenever it enters my ear, the pain drives me crazy.”

Hearing this, the lion realized that the peacock never troubled him like the ant troubled the elephant, yet he felt jealous. He understood that God has given different qualities and flaws to every creature. That’s why not all creatures can be equally powerful or weak.

The lion learned that even the mightiest animals have their shortcomings. This realization restored the lion’s lost confidence, and he stopped feeling jealous of the peacock.

Moral of the Story:
We should never feel jealous of others’ qualities because each of us has unique strengths and weaknesses. Instead, we should recognize and appreciate our own qualities and those of others.
