Via the Interstate 161 West and the 191 North as well as the villages of Cortez, Dove Creek and Moticello I am going back to Moab. I was there yesterday. This time, I will enter Moab from the south side, which means I will drive through the Canyonlands National Park. The Canyonlands National Park is a park with sculptures, made by mother nature. The sculptures have remarkable shapes, like the shape of a giant turtle, a mens hand or a giant Jezus-cross. From the last sculpture, I made some recordings. Also, you can find Wilsons Arch, named after Joe Wilson, the founder of this immense rock. Enjoy the movie I made, because the red giants, combined with the sun going down, is a amazing view.
On the final day of my stay, I will head northbound, towards the Interstate 70 East. From Moab, it is another 316 miles (approx. 507 kilometres) to drive. But before I hit the I-70, I will have to drive through the Arches National Park. Which is not a punishment. Although I must admit that the giant red stones in the south look better. And, if you get a sudden déjávú feeling, youre right. In Arches National Park, the cartoon of Roadrunner is situated, as well as in Monument Valley. But Monument Valley is too far away from where I am now. At least, if you have to be in Denver tonight, like me.
