Dragon Quest | Saving a Cursed Captain (ft. Nina the Cat 🐾)

Game play synopsis:
This week on Dragon Quest, we started the quest of finding a cure for the Captain of the Guard. The Hero's journey led him to the Warlock of Doorlocks (heh!). To help the Captain, the Hero agrees to find the Warlock's Dwarven friend. When the Hero finds the Dwarf, he is suffering the same affliction as the Captain, and is then instructed to seek the Fairies for the cure. After Hero finds the secret Fairy Village, they are met with hostility and distrust. Hero saves them from a monster attack and finds the ingredients for the elixir. With the cure in hand, the Hero treats the Dwarf who then makes a magic key and the Captain is saved from a cursed disease.

Dragon Quest holds a special place in my heart. My first time playing Dragon Quest 1 & 2 (aka Dragon Warrior) was on the GameBoy Color Christmas Day, 2000, at my grandmother's house. Nine year old me was instantly hooked as soon as the music for the title screen started up, pulling me into the charming world and whimsical art style Akira Toriyama designed. Even though this was all on the GameBoy at the time, I still hold other RPG's to DQ's standards in terms of leaving a lasting impact.
