The Nike Killshot 2, a modified version of an old shoe design from Nike's archives, was created from an unlikely partnership with J. Crew in 2009. The shoe's success was propelled by the online style forum on reddit called malefashionadvice, which recognized the shoe's versatility and made it a popular introductory shoe for dressing better. The KS2 became so in-demand that it was given the nickname "memeshots." But after nearly 11 years, its ascendancy would come to an abrupt stop. Here's how this shoe dominated the 2010's.
