The Great Fandom War of 2014: Revisiting

For the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, fans of the Hunger Games and Divergent were encouraged to vote for Katniss and Tris for the 'Best Character' Award, using the hashtags #VoteKatniss and #VoteTris online. The voting quickly turned into a fandom war, with fanboys and fangirls intensely voting for their favourite fictional heroine. From controversial giveaways, to skipping school and even accusations of the vote being rigged, us survivors of the #VoteKatniss and #VoteTris battle remember the contest all too well...
