Installing apps on an Android TV device hasn't always been easy to do. Before, we had to open up Google Play on these TVs and then use a remote control to search with a keyboard.

This changed sometime last month when Google began testing a new UI with the mobile version of the Play Store app.

Now, we can open up the Google Play Store application on our phones and search for an Android TV app. You'll then be given the option to install that app on your smartphone device or to choose which Android TV devices you want it installed on.

The UI looks similar to how this was somewhat available on the web UI, but only supports Android TV apps and devices.
