BJP’s Tanashahi, Opposition-Free Politics Biggest Issue This Election: Kanhaiya Kumar

In an interview with The Wire’s Sravasti Dasgupta on the campaign trail Kanhaiya Kumar said that the biggest issue in this election is the way in which tanashahi (dictatorship) is rising in the country as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attempts to wipe out the opposition.
The former JNUSU president who has been at the centre of a churn in the Congress over tickets being distributed to ‘outsiders’ said that sitting MP Manoj Tiwari is himself from Bihar while Modi who is from Gujarat is contesting from Varanasi.
